Northrop N-9M
Northrop N-9M adalah pesawat skala sepertiga digunakan untuk pengembangan Program bomber jarak jauh Northrop XB-35 dan YB-35 Flying Wing.
Pertama diterbangkan pada tahun 1942, N-9M (M Model) adalah yang ketiga dalam garis keturunan dari desain pesawat semua sayap Northrop yang dimulai pada tahun 1929 ketika Jack Northrop berhasil dalam percobaan awal dengan baling-baling tunggal pendorong nya, twin-ekor, twin-boom, semua stres logam kulit monoplane Northrop Flying Wing X-216H,[1] dan satu dekade kemudian, dual-prop N-1M pada 1939-1941.[2] Perintis pesawat semua sayap Northrop akan memimpin Northrop Grumman selama bertahun-tahun kemudian sampai akhirnya mengembangkan pembom siluman canggih B-2 Spirit, yang memulai debutnya dalam persediaan Angkatan Udara pada tahun 1989.
