New-York Tribune
New-York Tribune adalah sebuah surat kabar Amerika, yang pertama kali berdiri pada tahun 1841 oleh penyunting Horace Greeley (1811-1872). Antara 1842 dan 1866, surat kabar tersebut memakai nama New-York Daily Tribune.[1] Dari 1840an sampai 1860an, surat kabar tersebut merupakan surat kabar Partai Whig dominan dan kemudian Partai Republik di Amerika Serikat. Surat kabar tersebut mencapai peredaran sekitar 200,000 pada dekade 1850an, menjadikannya surat kabar harian terbesar pada masa itu di tingkat New York City dan mungkin tingkat negara. Editorial-editorial Tribune banyak dibagi, disalin di surat-surat kabar kota lain, dibaca dan membantu pembagian opini Amerika nasional. Ini adalah salah satu surat kabar terdepan di wilayah Utara untuk mengirimkan beberapa wartawan/koresponden/ilustrator untuk menyoroti kampanye-kampanye Perang Saudara Amerika (1861-1865).
