Kedokteran islam
Dalam sejarah kedokteran, kedokteran Islam abad pertengahan adalah ilmu pengetahuan mengenai kedokteran yang berkembang pada Zaman Kejayaan Islam, dan ditulis dalam bahasa Arab, lingua franca peradaban Islam.[1][2]
Kedokteran Islam melestarikan, membuat sistematis, dan mengembangkan pengetahuan medis Era Klasik, termasuk tradisi-tradisi utama Hippokrates, Galen, dan Pedanius Dioskorides.[3] Selama era pascaklasik, kedokteran Islam adalah yang paling maju di dunia, mengintegrasikan konsep Yunani kuno, Romawi kuno, Persia, serta tradisi India kuno Ayurveda.
