Serial ini berfokus pada Eleanor Shellstrop (Kristen Bell), seorang wanita yang terbangun di akhirat dan diperkenalkan oleh Michael (Ted Danson) ke "The Good Place", sebuah utopia seperti Surga yang dia rancang, sebagai imbalan atas kehidupannya yang benar. Sinopsis

Musim 1

Setelah kematiannya, Eleanor Shellstrop disambut di "The Good Place" oleh Michael, seorang arsitek abadi yang secara spesifik meracang kehidupan setelah kematian untuk menampung semua selera spesifik semua orang. Eleanor dengan segera menyadari bahwa dia tidak cocok di tempat ini dan pasti tertukar dengan orang lain. Dia bercerita tentang hal ini kepada belahan jiwanaya, seorang profesor etik bernama Chidi Anagonye. Chidi setuju untuk membantu Eleanor menjadi orang yang mebih baik untuk mendapatkan tempat di The Good Place. Tetangga Eleanor adalah orang biksu Budha bisu, Jianyu Li, dan belahan jiawanya, Tahani Al-Jamil, seorang sosialita.
