The Day After adalah film televisi Amerika Serikat yang tayang perdana pada tanggal 20 November 1983 di ABC. Lebih dari 100 juta orang di 39 juta rumah menyaksikan program ini pada penayangan perdananya.[1][2][3] Dengan 62% pemirsa pada penayangan perdananya, The Day After menjadi acara non-olahraga dengan rating tertinggi ketujuh dan mencetak rekor sebagai film televisi dengan rating tertinggi sepanjang sejarah (per tahun 2009).[3]

Film ini menceritakan perang antara NATO dan Pakta Warsawa yang dalam waktu singkat berubah menjadi perang nuklir besar-besaran antara AMerika Serikat dan Uni Soviet. Filmnya sendiri menyoroti kehidupan warga Lawrence, Kansas dan Kansas City, Missouri, serta beberapa keluarga yang bertani dekat lumbung rudal nuklir.[4]

Film ini dibintangi oleh JoBeth Williams, Steve Guttenberg, John Cullum, Jason Robards, dan John Lithgow. Skenarionya ditulis oleh Edward Hume, sedangkan filmnya diproduser oleh Robert Papazian dan disutradarai oleh Nicholas Meyer. Film ini dirilis dalam format DVD pada tanggal 18 Mei 2004 oleh MGM.
