Katharine McPhee (lahir 25 Maret 1984) adalah seorang penyanyi pop, aktris, model, dan penulis lagu dari Amerika.[2] Namanya mulai dikenal setelah ia berhasil menjadi juara dua American idol musim kelima.[2] Sebelum memasuki ajang American idol, McPhee telah mengeluti dunia teater dan opera, di antaranya ia pernah turut bermain dalam Crazy, Annie Get Your Gun, The Ghost and Mrs. Muir, dan You Are Here.[2]

Kehidupan awal

McPhee lahir di Los Angeles, California.] Ayahnya, Daniel McPhee, adalah seorang produser televisi. Ibunya, Peisha (née Burch) McPhee, telah menjadi pelatih vokal di American Idol sejak 2011. Keluarga itu pindah ke lingkungan Sherman Oaks di Los Angeles ketika dia berusia 12 tahun. Peisha McPhee mengenali bakat musik putrinya dan memutuskan untuk melatihnya.
