Hipotesis simulasi

Hipotesis simulasi adalah sebuah hipotesis yang mengusulkan bahwa semua kenyataan, termasuk Bumi dan alam semesta, sebenarnya adalah simulasi buatan, dan kemungkinan besar merupakan simulasi komputer. Beberapa versi mempercayai perkembangan realitas tiruan, sebuah teknologi masa depan yang tampaknya cukup realistis untuk meyakinkan partisipan. Akan sangat sulit untuk membedakan kenyataan aktual dengan realitas tiruan. Hipotesis tersebut telah menjadi perangkat plot utama dari banyak cerita fiksi ilmiah dan film.
