Etimologi

Ghoul berasal dari bahasa Arab غول ghūl (asal kata غال ghala) yang berarti "untuk merebut".^[1] Kata tersebut juga memiliki hubungan dengan Gallu, yaitu merupakan demon dari Mesopotamia.^[2]^[3]
