Pengeboman Yawata (Juni 1944)
Pengeboman Yawata pada malam 15/16 Juni 1944 adalah penyerbuan udara pertama di kepulauan utama Jepang yang dilakukan oleh pesawat pengebom strategis United States Army Air Forces (USAAF) pada Perang Dunia II. Penyerbuan tersebut dilakukan oleh 75 pesawat pengebom berat B-29 Superfortress yang dikerahkan dari pangkalan-pangkalan di Tiongkok. Hanya 47 pesawat yang mengebom target utama dalam penyerbuan tersebut, Pabrik Besi dan Baja Kekaisaran di Yawata, utara Kyūshū, dan sedikit kerusakan yang ditimbulkan. Lima pesawat B-29 hilang dalam kecelakaan pada operasi tersebut dan dua pesawat dihancurkan oleh pesawat Jepang.
