Greer lahir Judith Therese Evans pada tanggal 20 Juli 1975[2][3] di Detroit, Michigan. Ibunya, Mollie Ann (née Greer), adalah administrator rumah sakit, dan ayahnya, Rich Evans, adalah seorang insinyur mesin.[4][5] Ibunya pernah menjadi seorang biarawati, yang telah meninggalkan biara setelah delapan tahun, menjadi "dikeluarkan" untuk perilaku liar, termasuk memiliki baju renang merah.[6]
