Malaikat Moroni

Malaikat Moroni (/moʊˈroʊnaɪ/) adalah sesosok malaikat yang dilaporkan oleh Joseph Smith telah mengunjunginya beberapa kali, bermula pada 21 September 1823. Menurut Smith, malaikat tersebut adalah penjaga plakat-plakat emas, yang dikuburkan di bukit Cumorah dekat rumah Smith di barat New York. Umat Orang-orang Kudus Zaman Akhir meyakini bahwa plakat-plakat tersebut adalah bahan sumber untuk Kitab Mormon. Sebagai figur penting dalam teologi gerakan Orang-orang Kudus Zaman Akhir, Moroni tampil menonjol dalam arsitektur dan seni rupa Mormon. Selain Smith, Tiga Saksi Mata dan beberapa saksi mata lainnya juga melaporkan bahwa mereka melihat Moroni pada 1829.
