Screen Gems
Screen Gems adalah perusahaan film Amerika Serikat yang dahulu berdiri sebagai perusahaan film animasi dan subsidiari TV. Perusahaan ini dahulu berdiri tahun 1940. Tetapi pernah ditutup tahun 1974. Perusahaan ini didirikan ulang pada tahun 1999.

Sejarah
Screen Gems didirikan pada tahun 1940 sebagai subsidiari Columbia Pictures, dan dikhususkan untuk film kartun seperti Krazy Kat, Scrappy dan Color Rhapsody. Beberapa didistribusi oleh Warner Bros. Pada tahun 1948, didirikan lagi sebagai studio televisi Columbia Pictures. Screen Gems juga pernah membuka stasiun televisi seperti KCPX (Salt Lake City), WVUE (New Orleans), WAPA (San Juan), WNJU (Linden, NJ), dan beberapa jaringan radio lainnya.
Banyak acara yang diproduksi oleh Screen Gems, terutama sitkom Father Knows Best, Dennis the Menace, The Donna Reed Show, Hazel, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, Gidget, Bewitched, I Dream of Jeannie, The Flying Nun, The Monkees, dan The Partridge Family.
Screen Gems sempat diganti namanya menjadi Columbia Pictures Television. Pada tahun 1982, The Coca-Cola Company membeli perusahaan tersebut. Pada tahun 1989, The Coca-Cola Company menyerahkan Columbia Pictures Entertainment kepada perusahaan Sony di Jepang. Pada tahun 1991, CPE berganti nama menjadi Sony Pictures Entertainment dan mendirikan Columbia TriStar Television.
Divisi televisi saat ini adalah Sony Pictures Television. Pada tahun 1999, Screen Gems diluncurkan ulang sebagai perusahaan film. Seperti Dimension Films, Screen Gems memproduksi film sains fiksi, horor, remaja, etnik, komedi, dsb. Perusahaan ini memproduksi film terkenal, Resident Evil: Extinction pada tahun 2007.
