Élisabeth Dufour

Élizabeth Dufour (Brussel, 20 Pebruar, 1882 - Brussel, 23 April, 1946) adalah ibu dari Hergé.

Ia terlahir di distrik Marolles in Brussels, a Dutch family of artisans easy: her father is Joseph-Antoine Dufour (1853-1914) and his mother Antoinette Roch (1854 -?). From an early age, she works as a seamstress, after discontinuing his marriage with Alexis Remi ( 18 March 1905 ). Two children were born of their union: first, the future George Hergé ( 1,907 - 1 983 ) and Paul ( 1912 - 1986 ). Elizabeth remains a lifelong discreet person and especially fragile mental: she knew many passages of despair. During the Second World War , Elizabeth was with her husband in Brussels without children: George is gone in Auvergne and Paul Church (military officer) is a prisoner in Germany. In 1944 , believing his son Paul killed, she is making a violent fit of hysterics. From that moment his health is deteriorating rapidly. It is placed in a mental hospital and died there on 23 April 1946 at the age of 64.
