Basal metabolism

I saw your recent edits on chromosomal. I wonder if you have anything about the borderline between basal metabolism and acidic metabolism, since you have a very wide access to the field. As where i am, glycolysis and citrate cycle appear as acidic metabolism produces fatty acid (with carboxylic group) which not influenced by hormones. I track every compound produced in the cycle and mechanism of mitochondrion, and i fail to find the correlation from this pathway into basal metabolic pathway. I did once hope that someone out there can help me with this quest, but she seems to have all the logic mixed up from different theories and disregards any thoughts that construct those theories thus i'm very disappointed. I don't know else where i should turn to, to have those refs found. ESCa :-)/ 10:09, 17 Juli 2010 (UTC)

Thanks, Rheka. That's very helpful. ESCa :-)/ 10:21, 17 Juli 2010 (UTC)
For example, thyroxine can be uncoupler of mitochondrion to extrude more ions H+ from matrix into intermembrane space, enhancing pH gradient. ESCa :-)/ 18:19, 17 Juli 2010 (UTC)
I'm lazy. Afew before left without response. Besides there is definition of basal metabolism as metabolic process when body at rest, not something correlated with pH gradient of mitochondrion. ESCa :-)/ 07:04, 18 Juli 2010 (UTC)
