Penghargaan Grammy ke-54
Grammy Awards ke-54 merupakan puncak penganugerahan Penghargaan Grammy tahun 2011-2012 diadakan pada tanggal 12 Februari 2012, di Staples Center di Los Angeles yang disiarkan oleh CBS. LL Cool J menjadi pembawa acara. Ini adalah kali pertama dalam tujuh tahun bahwa acara ini memiliki sebuah host resmi.[1] Nominasi tersebut diumumkan pada tanggal 30 November 2011 pada prime-time televisi sebagai bagian dari "The GRAMMY Nominations Concert Live! – Countdown to Music's Biggest Night", siaran satu jam khusus langsung oleh CBS dari Nokia Theatre di LA Live.[2][3] Kanye West menerima nominasi terbanyak dengan tujuh nominasi. Adele, Foo Fighters, dan Bruno Mars masing-masing menerima enam nominasi. Lil Wayne, Skrillex, dan Radiohead semua mendapatkan lima nominasi.

Sebanyak 78 penghargaan dipresentasikan menyusul keputusan Academy untuk merestrukturisasi kategori Grammy Award. Paul McCartney menerima MusiCares Person of the Year penghargaan pada tanggal 10 Februari 2012, di Los Angeles Convention Center, dua malam sebelum penayangan Grammy.[4]
Pada tanggal 8 Februari 2012, Akademi mengumumkan bahwa Grammy ke-54 Pra-siaran televisi Upacara akan streaming live internasional. Upacara berlangsung di Los Angeles Convention Center dan disiarkan secara langsung secara keseluruhan internasional di website resmi Grammy dan Jaringan CBS Television. Upacara ini co-host oleh Dave Koz dan MC Lyte. Sebanyak 68 Penghargaan yang disajikan dalam upacara Pra-siaran televisi.[5] Poster resmi dirancang oleh Arsitek Frank Gehry.[6]
Malam sebelumnya penghargaan, Whitney Houston meninggal di Los Angeles, dan produser acara dengan cepat merencanakan tribut, dengan pertunjukan Jennifer Hudson.[7] Acara penghargaan dimulai dengan penampilan Bruce Springsteen diikuti dengan doa J LL Cool untuk Whitney Houston. Adele memenangkan nominasi enam-nya, mengikat rekor Beyonce untuk kemenangan terbanyak oleh artis wanita dalam satu malam.[8][9] Foo Fighters dan Kanye West diikuti dengan penghargaan lima dan empat, masing-masing.[8]
