Jawatan Taman Nasional
National Park Service (NPS) adalah lembaga federal AS yang mengelola semua taman nasional, berbagai monumen nasional, dan properti konservasi dan bersejarah lainnya dengan bermacam penetapan gelar.[1] Lembaga ini dibentuk pada 25 Agustus 1916 oleh Kongres melalui National Park Service Organic Act.[2]

NPS adalah lembaga Departemen Dalam Negeri Amerika Serikat, sebuah departemen eksekutif federal yang ketuanya, Menteri Dalam Negeri, adalah pejabat Kabinet yang dicalonkan oleh Presiden dan disetujui oleh Senat. Sebagian besar manajemen langsung NPS diperintahkan oleh Menteri kepada Direktur National Park Service, yang juga harus disetujui oleh Senat.
21.989 karyawan NPS mengawasi 395 satuan, 58 di antaranya ditetapkan sebagai taman nasional.[3]
