Kereta api Ciwangi Ekspres Malam Selatan

Kereta Api Pangrango Adalah kereta api kelas Eksekutif dan Ekonomi AC dengan relasi Halte Bogor Paledang - Stasiun Cianjur. Jarak yang ditempuh 57 KM dalam waktu 2 jam 10 menit yang diresmikan oleh Menteri Badan Usaha Milik Negara (BUMN) Dahlan Iskan pada tanggal 9 November 2013, menggantikan KRD Bumi Geulis yang sudah mogok sejak Desember 2012. Kereta ini terdiri satu lokomotif, tiga gerbong ekonomi ac, dua gerbong eksekutif, dan satu gerbong kereta makan pembangkit. Saat ini, okupansi Kereta Api Pangrango sangat tinggi, sehingga stamformasinya adalah : 1 Lok CC + 1 KMP3 eksterior Batik Cikole + 2 K1 + 3 K3AC.

Jadwal Kereta api

Jadwal Pemberangkatan dari Halte Bogor Paledang pukul 07.35 (KA 7116), 12.45 (KA 7118), & 17.55 (KA 7120). Sedangkan Jadwal Pemberangkatan dari Sukabumi pukul 05.00 (KA 7115), 10.10 (KA 7117), & 15.20 (KA 7119). Mulai tanggal 9 Februari 2014 KA Pangrango mengalami perubahan jadwal. Sehingga jadwal pemberangkatan dari Halte Bogor Paledang menjadi pukul 07.00 (KA 7116A), 12.30 (KA 7126A), & 17.30 (KA 7118A). Sedangkan jadwal pemberangkatan dari Stasiun Sukabumi menjadi pukul 04.00 (KA 7115A), 09.35 (KA 7125A), & 14.45 (KA 7117A).

Harga Tiket

Harga tiket Kereta Api Pangrango baik jarak jauh atau dekat (mulai tanggal 1 Februari 2014) untuk kelas ekonomi sebesar Rp. 20.000,- dan eksekutif sebesar Rp. 50.000, dari sebelumnya eksekutif Rp. 35.000 dan ekonomi Rp. 15.000, dan harga tiket ini tanpa subsidi.

Keunikan

Kereta api ini memiliki keunikan yang hampir sama seperti kereta api Penataran dan kereta api Rapih Dhoho. Yaitu, bila kereta api ini sampai di stasiun Sukabumi, maka rangkaian kereta api Pangrango akan berubah nama menjadi kereta api Siliwangi yang melanjutkan perjalanan menuju stasiun Cianjur. Begitu juga sebaliknya.

Insiden

Pada tanggal 3 Januari 2014, KA 7118 Pangrango anjlok di sekitar Cicurug dikarenakan adanya rel patah. Tidak ada korban jiwa dalam peristiwa tersebut. Kereta yang anjlok hanya kereta paling belakang, tepatnya KMP3 batik.
