Kereta Api Argo Dwipangga adalah kereta api kelas eksekutif argo yang dioperasikan PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) di Pulau Jawa dengan jurusan Jakarta (GMR) - Solo Balapan (SLO) dan sebaliknya.

Layanan

Kereta api ini menempuh perjalanan sejauh 576 km dengan koridor Gambir - Solo Balapan, dalam waktu sekitar 8 jam dan hanya berhenti di Klaten, Yogyakarta, Purwokerto, dan Jatinegara (arah Gambir). Argo Dwipangga dengan kapasitas 350-400 penumpang dan membawa 7-8 rangkaian kereta kelas eksekutif argo menawarkan alternatif perjalanan pada siang hari dari stasiun Gambir ke Solo Balapan dan perjalanan pada malam hari dari arah sebaliknya (berkebalikan dengan alternatif perjalanan yang ditawarkan oleh Kereta api Argo Lawu).

Pertama kali diresmikan oleh Menteri Perhubungan RI pada tanggal 21 April 1998 menggunakan nama KA Dwipangga. Akan tetapi seiring dengan tuntuan pelanggan yang menginginkan penambahan KA Argo jurusan Jakarta - Solo, maka KA Dwipangga sengaja dimodifikasi untuk layanan kelas eksekutif argo, sehingga brand-nya pun diganti menjadi KA Argo Dwipangga pada tanggal 5 Oktober 1998.

Kata Argo digunakan sebagai brand image layanan kereta api eksekutif dan penamaan Dwipangga memang sengaja dibedakan dengan argo lainnya yang lazim menggunakan nama gunung mengingat nama Dwipangga dirasakan sudah sangat melekat di benak pelanggan. Kata Dwipangga diambil dari sebutan kendaraan Dewa Indra berupa gajah yang setia dan mampu melindungi pengendaranya dalam segala cuaca, sehingga menumbuhkan kebanggaan dan prestise bagi penumpangnya. Rangkaian KA Argo Dwipangga terdiri dari 7-8 kereta kelas eksekutif retrofit (K1), 1 Kereta Makan bermotif batik (KM), dan 1 Kereta Pembangkit Listrik (MP).
