Universitas East Anglia
Universitas East Anglia (disingkat sebagai UEA) adalah perguruan tinggi negeri di Britania Raya, yang juga merupakan perguruan tinggi berbasiskan penelitian yang terletak di kota Norwich.[7] Didirikan sejak tahun 1963, universitas ini terdiri atas 4 fakultas dan 28 schools of study.[8] Terletak di arah barat daya dari kota Norwich, kampus ini memiliki luasan 320 ekar (1,3 km2).

Di tahun 2012, universitas ini termasuk 10 besar dunia untuk universitas yang berusia kurang dari 50 tahun, serta nomor 3 di seluruh Britania Raya. Sejarah
Sejak tahun 1919 dan 1947, sudah dilakukan beberapa kali usaha untuk mendirikan sebuah universitas di Norwich, namun karena kurangnya dukungan dari pemerintah, maka rencana tersebut akhirnya tidak terwujud. Universitas ini mendapatkan lampu hijau di bulan April, 1960, dan mulai menerima mahasiswa di bulan Oktober, 1963. Pada awalnya proses belajar mengajar mengambil tempat yang dinamakan "University Village". Lokasinya berseberangan dengan jalan Earlham Road di area kampusnya yang sekarang, yang awalnya didesain untuk bangunan yang mampu menampung hingga 1,200 mahasiswa/i, didesain oleh firma lokal Feilden dan Mawson. Vice-Chancellor dan tenaga administrasi berpusat di Earlham Hall. [14]
Di tahun 1961, vice-chancellor yang pertama, Frank Thistlethwaite, mendekati Denys Lasdun,pemilik dari situs arsitektur "New Brutalist" trend di dunia arsitektur, yang pernah membangun Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge, untuk mendesain kampusnya yang permanen. [14] Dan area yang terpilih ada di bagian pojok Barat dari kotanya, di sebelah Selatan dari Earlham Road.
