Kereta api Argo Parahyangan (terkadang juga populer dengan sebutan Gopar) adalah kereta api kelas eksekutif atau eksekutif-bisnis yang dioperasikan oleh PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) di Pulau Jawa dengan jurusan Bandung (BD) - Jakarta (GMR) dan sebaliknya dan menjadi satu-satunya KA yang melayani rute ini.

Sejarah operasional

Kereta api ini merupakan kereta api hasil peleburan KA Argo Gede dan Parahyangan, yang telah dihentikan pengoperasiannya. KA Argo Parahyangan pertama kali dioperasikan pada Selasa, 27 April 2010 pada pukul 05.30 di Stasiun Bandung dan pukul 05.45 di Stasiun Gambir.

Kereta api Argo Parahyangan merupakan hasil respons PT KAI (Persero) atas kekecewaan masyarakat karena diberhentikannya pengoperasian kereta api Parahyangan. Sehingga PT KAI (Persero) menggabungkan kereta api Parahyangan bersama rangkaian kereta api Argo Gede. Jadi rangkaian bekas kereta api Parahyangan disambungkan di kereta depan kereta api Argo Gede. Tetapi masyarakat tidak mau nama Parahyangan itu ditiadakan. Akhirnya, PT KAI (Persero) menggabungkan nama Argo Gede dan Parahyangan menjadi Argo Parahyangan. KA Argo Parahyangan menyediakan layanan kelas eksekutif argo yang memiliki pendingin udara (AC) dengan menggunakan kereta bekas kereta api Argo Gede dan kelas bisnis tanpa pendingin udara dengan menggunakan rangkaian kereta bekas kereta api Parahyangan.

KA Argo Parahyangan kini

KA Argo Parahyangan beroperasi setiap harinya sekitar 9 kali pergi-pulang (termasuk tambahan) mengingat okupansi yang bagus. Perjalanan Jakarta-Bandung sepanjang ±166 km menelusuri alam pegunungan Priangan Bagian Barat ditempuh kereta api ini dengan waktu tempuh rata-rata 3 jam sampai 3 jam 15 menit.

Rangkaian Kereta Api Argo Parahyangan terdiri dari 1-3 kereta kelas bisnis bekas kereta api Parahyangan (K2), 1 Kereta Makan bekas kereta api Argo Gede (KM1), 3-4 kereta kelas eksekutif argo bekas kereta api Argo Gede (K1), dan 1 Kereta Bagasi Pembangkit (BP) bekas kereta api Argo Gede. Untuk KA Argo Parahyangan full eksekutif, KA menggunakan 4-5 K1, 1 KM, dan 1 BP. Mengingat permintaan kelas eksekutif lebih tinggi dari kelas bisnis, sejak tanggal 30 Desember 2011 K2-nya dihilangkan sehingga kereta api Argo Parahyangan menjadi kereta api Eksekutif seluruhnya (meskipun di beberapa perjalanannya masih ditambah K2).

Jumlah perjalanan KA Argo Parahyangan semakin meningkat mengingat okupansi yang bagus, dan juga karena jalan tol yang macet membuat masyarakat beralih ke kereta api.

Sejak 1 April 2015 KA Argo Parahyangan dengan jadwal baru berdasarkan Gapeka 2015 akan berjalan 8 kali pergi pulang, reguler (belum termasuk 6 kereta tambahan).

Saat ini 3 rangkaian Argo Parahyangan menggunakan rangkaian KA yang idle. Antara lain KA 33 dan 34 yang menggunakan rangkaian KA Turangga, KA 35 dan KA 36 yang menggunakan rangkaian KA Bangunkarta, dan KA 37 dan 38 yang menggunakan rangkaian KA Harina.

KA 19 - 30 ,33 dan 34 berjalan setiap hari. Sedangkan untuk KA 35 dan 36,kereta tersebut hanya berjalan di hari Jumat sampai dengan Minggu, karena merupakan KA tambahan. (KA 33 & 34 Juga KA Tambahan) Tersedia juga KA Argo Parahyangan tambahan, dengan keberangkatan dari Bandung jam 04.00 (KA 37) dan dari Gambir jam 07.15. (KA 38) Dan KA 37,38 berjalan di saat tertentu

Khusus KA 31 dan 32 tidak ada pada hari senin

Khusus KA 35 dan 36 bisanya ada pas saat weekend

Fasilitas

Kereta eksekutif

KA Argo Parahyangan menggunakan KA Eksekutif kelas Argo berkapasitas 50 penumpang dengan:

  • Meja makan (Kadangkala)
  • Lampu baca
  • Colokan listrik di setiap kursi
  • AC
  • Toilet
  • Kursi (reclining seat) yang bisa diputar balik

Kereta bisnis

Sedangkan kelas bisnis, berkapasitas 64 penumpang dan cukup nyaman dengan harga yang lebih terjangkau. Fasilitas:

  • AC
  • Toilet
  • Colokan Listrik di setiap kursi
  • Kursi yang bisa diputar balik

KA Argo Parahyangan menggunakan KA eksekutif Argo bekas Argo Gede buatan tahun 1995 dan 2002, dan terkadang menggunakan KA milik Argo Wilis yang dibuat pada 1998, atau menggunakan KA eksekutif biasa (buatan 1995 ke bawah) yang dicat striping Argo. KA Bisnis menggunakan KA eks-Parahyangan.

  • 1 kereta makan (M1/KM2 BD);
  • 1 kereta kelas bisnis AC (K2 BD);
  • 1 kereta bagasi/aling-aling (B, K2, K3 BD).

Tambahan KA Argo Parahyangan rangkaian Bangunkarta:

  • 5 kereta kelas Eksekutif (K1 SDT);
  • 1 kereta makan (KM1 SDT);
  • 1 kereta pembangkit (P SDT).

KA Argo Parahyangan rangkaian Turangga:

  • 1 kereta barang (B SDT);
  • 4 kereta kelas eksekutif (K1 SDT);
  • 1 kereta makan (M1 SDT);
  • 1 kereta pembangkit (P SDT).

KA Argo Parahyangan rangkaian Harina:

  • 1 kereta aling-aling (K3 BD);
  • 1 kereta kelas bisnis AC (K2 BD);
