Namun kemudian, suku cadang ini mulai diproduksi sendiri oleh Porsche. Badan mobil ini juga didesain secara khusus oleh [[Erwin Komenda]], yang juga mendesain badan mobil Beetle.
Pada tahun 1964, setelah memenangkan cukup banyak kejuaraan balap, Porsche meluncurkan [[Porsche 911]], sebagai pengganti Porsche 365. Setelah Bohn diberhentikan, [[Heinz Branitzki]], ditunjuk sebagai CEO sementara. Branitzki memegang jabatan itu hingga [[Wendelin Wiedeking]] ditunjuk menjadi CEO pada tahun 1993. Wiedeking lalu berhasil mentransformasi Porsche menjadi sebuah perusahaan yang efisien dan menguntungkan.
Pada tahun 2002, Porsche memperkenalkan [[Porsche Cayenne]], sekaligus membuka pabrik barunya di [[Leipzig]], yang nantinya tercatat berhasil memproduksi separuh dari seluruh mobil produksi Porsche dalam setahun.
