Ringkasan

Deskripsi
English: This is presented as an image of the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camp in occupied Poland on 27 January 1945. The camp was liberated by the 100th Lviv Infantry Division, 60th Army, I Ukrainian Front, under the command of Major-General Fyodor Krasavin. (For the liberation, see "The Anniversary of the Liberation of Auschwitz Concentration Camp". Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum, 27 January 2004.) The motto "Arbeit macht frei" is seen above the gate.
Apparently some of the liberation images were taken a few weeks later during a reenactment for the cameras. To be sure that this isn't one of those images, it should be sourced to a major museum or high-quality scholarly publication.
