Charles Pierre Baudelaire (pengucapan: /ˈboʊdəlɛər/; Prancis diucapkan [ʃaʁl bodlɛʁ]) (19 April 1821 – 31 Agustus 1867) adalah seorang penyair Prancis[1], pengkritik dan penerjemah berpengaruh pada abad kesembilan belas.

Baudelaire lahir di Paris, Prancis tahun 1821. Ayahnya, seorang pegawai negeri dan seniman amatir, meninggal ketika Baudelaire masih kecil tahun 1827.[1] Tahun berikutnya, ibunya, Caroline, 34 tahun lebih muda dari ayahnya, menikahi Letnan Kolonel Jacques Aupick, yang kemudian menjadi duta besar Prancis untuk berbagai kerajaan.
