Crocidura

genus mamalia

Crocidura adalah satu dari sembilan genera dari subfamili tikus Crocidurinae. Anggota genus biasanya disebut tikus bergigi putih atau tikus kesturi, meskipun kedua istilah itu juga berlaku untuk semua spesies dalam subfamili. Dengan lebih dari 180 spesies, Crocidura mengandung spesies paling banyak dibandingkan genus mamalia lainnya.[2] Nama Crocidura berarti "ekor berbulu", karena ekor spesies Crocidura ditutupi rambut pendek diselingi dengan bulu yang lebih panjang.[3]
