Emily Mortimer
Emily Kathleen Anne Mortimer[1] (lahir 1 Desember 1971) merupakan seorang aktris dan penulis naskah Britania Raya. Ia dikenal sebagai aktris dalam film Lovely and Amazing (2001), Match Point (2005), Lars and the Real Girl (2007), Chaos Theory (2008), Harry Brown (2009), Shutter Island (2010) dan Hugo (2011).

Latar belakang
suntingEmily Mortimer lahir di Hammersmith, London, Britania Raya,[2] dan merupakan putri dari penulis John Mortimer dan istri keduanya, Penelope Gollop.[3] Ia memiliki adik perempuan bernama Rosie serta dua kakak tirinya, Sally Silverman dan Jeremy, dari pernikahan pertama ayahnya dengan penulis Penelope Fletcher. Ia juga memiliki saudara tiri bernama Ross Bentley dari hubungan ayahnya dengan aktris Wendy Craig.[4]
Ia menempuh pendidikan di St Paul's Girls' School di London bagian barat[5] dan melanjutkan ke Universitas Oxford di mana ia belajar bahasa Rusia di Lincoln College dan tampil dalam beberapa drama. Sebelum menjadi aktris, ia menulis kolom untuk The Daily Telegraph dan menjadi penulis skenario adaptasi memoir Lorna Sage, Bad Blood.[6][7]
