Imperialisme Amerika

Imperialisme Amerika Serikat adalah pengaruh ekonomi, militer, dan budaya Amerika Serikat di negara lain. Pengaruh ini biasanya berkaitan dengan ekspansi atau perluasan ke wilayah asing. Perluasan berskala besar adalah tujuan utama sebuah imperium, contohnya Imperium Britania. Konsep Imperium Amerika pertama kali dipopulerkan pada masa kepresidenan James K. Polk yang membawa Amerika Serikat ke kancah Perang Meksiko–Amerika Serikat tahun 1846, dan aneksasi California dan wilayah barat lainnya lewat Perjanjian Guadalupe Hidalgo dan Pembelian Gadsden.[4][5]
