James Carothers Garrison (lahir Earling Carothers Garrison; 20 November 1921 – 21 Oktober 1992)[3] adalah seorang Jaksa Wilayah Orleans Parish, Louisiana, dari tahun 1962 sampai 1973. Seorang anggota Partai Demokrat, ia dikenal atas penyidikannya terhadap pembunuhan John F. Kennedy dan tuntutan terhadap Clay Shaw, seorang pengusaha New Orleans, pada tahun 1969, yang berujung dengan pembebasan Shaw. Ia kemudian menulis tiga buku, salah satu bukunya menjadi sumber utama film JFK karya Oliver Stone pada tahun 1991, dengan Garrison diperankan oleh aktor Kevin Costner, sedangkan Garrison sendiri tampil kameo sebagai Earl Warren.
