Komedi situasi Britania
Komedi situasi Britania atau Britcom adalah program komedi situasional yang diproduksi untuk televisi Inggris.[1]
Sebagian besar komedi situasi Inggris direkam di set studio, sementara beberapa memiliki unsur pembuatan film lokasi. Sejumlah kecil dibuat hampir secara eksklusif di lokasi (misalnya, Last of the Summer Wine) dan diperlihatkan kepada penonton studio sebelum pasca produksi akhir. Subset komedi Inggris secara sadar menghindari tema komedi situasi tradisional, alur cerita, dan pengaturan rumah untuk fokus pada topik atau metode naratif yang lebih tidak biasa. Blackadder (1983–1989) dan Yes Minister (1980–1988, 2013) memindahkan apa yang seringkali merupakan genre domestik atau tempat kerja ke dalam koridor kekuasaan.[2] Perkembangan selanjutnya adalah genre mockumentary yang dicontohkan oleh serial seperti The Office (2001–2003).
Salah satu contoh komedi situasi Britania yang paling terkenal adalah Mr. Bean yang diperankan oleh Rowan Atkinson.
