Use the form below to send an email to $1. Your e-mail address (as entered in your user preferences) will appear in the “From” header of the message so that the recipient will be able to reply directly to you.

Please remember that:

Your own email address will be shared with $1 so they can reply. If you do not wish for your address to be disclosed, you can instead communicate with $1 through their user talk page.
Sending an email will generate a notification for $1 by default.
Unless the matter is confidential, it is usually better to leave a message on the user's talk page.
Users may have a dedicated email address for Wikimedia Commons correspondence that is not regularly checked.
If you are referring to a specific Wikipedia article, remember to include its exact title.
The message is sent as plain text: wiki markup (such as [[links]]) will not work.
If $1 replies by email, their reply will be sent to your email inbox, not to a Wikipedia page.

A private log of this action will be retained for the purpose of preventing abuse, and can be viewed by certain privileged users. This log does not identify the recipient, title, or contents of the e-mail. In cases of serious abuse, Wikimedia Foundation staff can verify the recipient account. Wikipedia makes no guarantee of confidentiality for messages sent by this system. Do not send information by email that you would not want published on the internet.
