Nuova Cronica adalah sebuah sejarah Florence abad ke-14 yang dibuat dalam sebuah format linear tahun demi tahun dan ditulis oleh bankir dan pejabat Italia Giovanni Villani (s. 1276 atau 1280–1348). Dalam Cronica miliknya, Villani menjelaskan secara rinci banyak proyek pembangunan kota, informasi statistik tentang populasi, tata cara, niaga dan perdagangan, pendidikan, dan fasilitas keagamaan. Ia juga menggambarkan beberapa bencana seperti kelaparan, banjir, kebakaran, dan pandemi Maut Hitam pada 1348, yang juga membunuhnya.[2][3]

Penobatan Manfred dari Sisilia dalam sebuah manuskrip dari Cronica; pada abad ke-16, ada beberapa versi Cronica dalam bentuk cetak.[1]
