"Wader" bukan nama burung yang sesungguhnya, "waders" sendiri artinya "yang berjalan melewati air air". Ini merujuk pada burung-burung pantai (sebagai jenis yang berbeda dari burung-burung laut).

Kalimat terjemahan dari artikel Bahasa Inggris juga salah: "...di mana sekelompok burung laut seperti skua (Stercorariidae), gull (Laridae), tern (Sternidae), skimmer (Rhynchopidae), auk (Alcidae), pratincole (Glareolidae), dan crab plover (Dromadidae) terdapat di dalamnya...", karena justru di artikel Bahasa Inggris disebutkan bahwa jenis-jenis tersebut tidak termasuk dalam kategori "waders" karena mereka adalah burung-burung laut.
