suntingMayor Jendral (purn) H.Busiri Suryowinoto terlahir di kota Pamekasan Madura pada tanggal 24 November 1925 dan wafat pada tgl 4 Agustus 1982 ketika sedang berobat di Tokyo Jepang. Lulusan dari sekolah lanjutan Infantri di Fortbenning USA (Tahun 1956-1957) dan alm mengawali karier militer nya dari Kodam Brawijaya Jawa Timur . Almarhum Busiri pernah menjabat sebagai Panglima Kodam Patimura periode 1960 - 1966. Pada Tahun 1978 - 1980 Busiri diberi kepercayaan sebagai Duta besar R.I di Port Morestby Papua New Guinea. Kemudian terpilih menjadi Gubernur Propinsi Irian Jaya periode 1981-1985 , namun Busiri tidak dapat menyelesaikan masa jabatan karena meninggal pada tanggal 4 Agustus 1982 ketika berupaya mencari kesembuhan di negeri sakura Japan.
