Kimi ga Yo vs. Kimi Ga Yo vs. Kimigayo

Mohon pendapat mengenai penulisan yang lebih baik untuk digunakan di artikel ini: Kimi ga Yo, Kimi Ga Yo, atau Kimigayo? Naval Scene (bicara) 02:10, 17 November 2009 (UTC)

Dalam buku-buku lama, termasuk Glimpses of Unfamiliar Japan (Lafcadio Hearn) ditulis Kimi ga yo. Kamus Jepang-Indonesia (Matsuura) menulisnya Kimi-ga-yo (tanda -, berarti boleh ada spasi). Alih aksara bahasa Jepang memang tidak mengatur kapitalisasi dan spasi.

MOFA dan situs pemerintah Jepang menulisnya Kimigayo.[1] Kamus Kamus Kanji Modern Jepang-Indonesia (Nelson) menulisnya Kimigayo.

Tapi kapitalisasi g dan y dalam Kimi Ga Yo kemungkinan dilakukan penutur bahasa Inggris, mengikuti cara menulis judul dalam bahasa Inggris (huruf pertama awal kata, huruf besar). Midori (bicara) 10:54, 18 November 2009 (UTC)

Terjemahan

Adakah terjemahan dalam bahasa Indonesia yang resmi atau setengah resmi (misalnya dari Pusat Kebudayaan Jepang atau Kedutaan Besar Jepang di Indonesia)? Sejauh ini di artikel ini sudah pernah ada 3 versi terjemahan (lihat tabel). Bait satu dan dua ada perbedaan.

Terjemahan resmi, maaf tidak tahu. Versi terjemahan yang terbaik: versi kedua (tengah).

Sekadar saran, kalau masih juga mau diperbaiki:

Terjemahan sekarang:

Koke no musu made: Yang diselimuti lumut.

made: (sampai, hingga) belum diterjemahkan, tidak ada kata yang berarti Yang dalam Koke no musu made. Mungkin terbawa dari terjemahan bahasa Inggris. Tapi bila ditambah yang, lirik menjadi bagus.

Koke no musu made: Hingga diselimuti lumut

Chiyo ni yachiyo ni: tidak ada disebut tentang tahun,

chiyo ni: hingga seribu generasi

yachiyo ni: hingga delapan ribu generasi

chiyo dan yachiyo juga berarti periode yang sangat, sangat panjang.

"hingga seribu generasi, delapan ribu generasi" (hingga tidak diulang).

"hingga seribu, delapan ribu generasi" (hingga dan generasi tidak diulang).

Tapi belum menyambung dengan baris di atasnya

Kimigayo wa: Semoga kekuasaan Yang Mulia.
