Indonesia), bhw pd thn 1923 (dkat2 Perang Dunia I gitulah), bhw sejumlah penjelajah dripd negri Londo diutus utk mlakukan ekspedisi k Papua (termasuk Irian Jaya dan New Guinea) utk mencari alternatif tebu, dan didapati d sana (Indonesia Timur), ad mcm2 saudara dri spesies itu sdiri (trmasuk tebu telur, mnurut brita) dn kbrnya bisa dijadikan alternatif dripd tebu. @Adi.akbartauhidin:, kalau dibahas berdasarkan fungsinya sebagai spesies yang dekat dengan tebu, maka bisa dibahas di keluarga liar tanaman pertanian (en:crop wild relative), namun kalau dibahas mengenai pemanfaatannya sebagai bahan pangan, bisa di bahan pangan alternatif.
