Cosmetic Changes

Mengapa jika saya membuat artikel yang ada pranala ke wiki-wiki lainnya harus diCosmetic Changes, sedangkan kalau di en.wiki tidak? Saya melihat di en.wiki tidak dibuat Cosmetic Changes sehingga tampilan eksekusinya terlihat bagus. Contohnya jika memuat rujukan ms.wiki tidak mengikuti Cosmetic Changes maka akan tampilan eksekusinya menurut abjad, sedangkan jika mengikuti Cosmetic Changes terlihat kacau, karena akan tampil English baru Bahasa Melayu. Benar kata anda. Begini saja, di bawah judul Mahabharata ditambahkan beberapa aksara di India dan aksara Jawa dan Bali, karena di India dan Indonesia ada pengaruh Mahabharata. Di komputer pribadi, saya bisa bikin tulisan memakai aksara Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, (pakai font face Arial Unicode) dan juga aksara Bali; tapi tidak bisa membuat aksara Jawa, jadi tidak lengkap.

Nanti, saya akan mengirimkan berkas tentang kumpulan tulisan Mahabharata dari berbagai huruf, tapi tidak akan ada versi aksara Jawa-nya. Saya minta tolong untuk dibuatkan (ditambahkan) jika berkas itu sudah saya kirim ke wikipedia.

Provinsi pages moved

Hi. I see that a whole bunch of province pages have been moved today. Bali, for example. I think this is probably a good move, but am a bit exasperated as I have tweaked a lot of templates and articles to use the direct 'Provinsi Whatever' form. This sort of move also plays hell with interwiki links all over the wiki-world and I've adjusted a lot of those, too. I will look further at what's happened. I don't understand what is occurring here, but things have ping-ponged several times in the last few days; probably more if I were to review the history in more detail (which I'm going to do). I saw the recent move to the shorted name and cleaned-up the redirects, which are now all wrong again… I worked on the next-tier templates, too. My concern is not so much with a particular name — although I frown on redirects to more verbose forms — but rather is that the naming of things be consistent and clear, and redirects be bypassed in primary links (templates, especially). This wiki is awash in redirects due to name-thrashing.

Navigation templates should be directly related to the name of that which they're providing navigation for; the practice of abbreviating such things is short sighted; the notion that this saves typing missed the point that you should be copy-pasting them instead of retyping them.

The proper naming of things is a fundamental concept in proper software development — a wiki is simply a specific software platform.

I see that you did 4 locator maps for Jembrana kecs, and I was thinking of moving them to Commons; but I expect this makes them outdated. If you can update them, great. Maybe most are still correct. I've uploaded the correct logo to commons from http://www.papuabaratprov.go.id/ and changed articles and template over to use it. I did the same over on jv:wp. I used the Commons:CommonsHelper that Patrícia pointed me at on this image and it is now on Commons; thing is, I don't know how to reconcile the PD-IDGov status of the base imagery with the work you did on this. Could you look?

Hi. I moved Jawa to Jawa (disambiguasi) and intended to then move Pulau Jawa to Jawa over the redirect, but the wiki won't let me. Someone has made quite a mess moving a lot of things back in January and things need sorting and admonishments made. Could you sort the immediate issue of a half-done move?
