Perang Polandia–Soviet
Perang Polandia-Soviet (Februari 1919 – Maret 1921) adalah konflik bersenjata antara Republik Sosialis Federasi Soviet Rusia dan Republik Sosialis Soviet Ukraina melawan Republik Polandia Kedua dan Republik Rakyat Ukraina, empat negara yang lahir sesudah Perang Dunia I. Perang ini adalah akibat dari usaha ekspansionis. Polandia, yang kenegaraannya baru saja didirikan oleh Perjanjian Versailles diikuti Pembagian Polandia pada akhir abad ke-18, berusaha menguasai kembali teritori yang hilang ketika pembagian. Tujuan Soviet adalah untuk menguasai teritori yang sama, yang menjadi bagian dari Kekaisaran Rusia sampai peristiwa pergolakan Perang Dunia I. Kedua negara masing-masing mengklaim kemenangan[1] dalam peperangan: Polandia mengklaim berhasil mempertahankan negara mereka, sementara Soviet mengklaim memukul mundur invasi Polandia ke Ukraina dan Belarus, yang dianggap Soviet sebagai bagian dari intervensi asing terhadap Perang Saudara Rusia.
