Pertempuran Fontenoy

Pertempuran Fontenoy merupakan sebuah pertempuran besar dalam Perang Penerus Austria, yang berlangsung pada 11 Mei 1745, 8 kilometer (5,0 mi) di luar Tournai, Belgia. Pasukan Prancis yang terdiri dari 50.000 orang yang dipimpin oleh Marsekal Saxe mengalahkan tentara Pragmatica [a] sebesar 52.000 orang, yang dipimpin oleh Adipati Cumberland. Bersama putranya Dauphin Louis, Louis XV dari Prancis hadir dan dengan demikian secara teknis memegang komando, sebuah fakta yang kemudian digunakan untuk meningkatkan prestise rezim tersebut.
