Pierre Loti
Pierre Loti (bahasa Prancis: [lɔti]; pseudonim Louis Marie-Julien Viaud [vjo]; 14 Januari 1850 – 10 Juni 1923)[1] adalah seorang novelis dan perwira angkatan laut Prancis, yang dikenal karena novel-novel eksotis buatannya.[2]

Biografi
suntingLahir dari sebuah keluarga Protestan, pendidikan Loti dimulai di tempat kelahirannya, Rochefort, Charente-Maritime. Pada usia 17 tahun, ia masuk sekolah angkatan laut di Brest dan belajar di Le Borda. Ia secara bertahap berkembang dalam profesinya, meraih pangkat kapten pada 1906. Pada Januari 1910, ia masuk pada daftar reserve.
