Serangan Jassy–Kishinev
Operasi Jassy–Kishinev,[1][7][8][9][Notes 1] yang mengambil nama dari dua kota besar, Iași dan Chișinău, di wilayah kejadian tersebut, adalah sebuah serangan Soviet melawan pasukan Blok Poros, yang terjadi di Timur Rumania dari 20 sampai 29 Agustus 1944. Front Ukrania ke-2 dan ke-3 dari Tentara Merah bertarung melawan Grup Angkatan Darat Ukraina Selatan, yang terdiri dari kombinasi pasukan Jerman dan Rumania, dalam sebuah operasi untuk mengklaim kembali RSS Moldavian dan menghancurkan pasukan Blok Poros di wilayah tersebut, membuka jalan menuju Rumania dan Balkan.
