Tiruchirappalli (bahasa Tamil: திருச்சிராப்பள்ளி) pelafalan^ⓘ juga dieja Tiruchirapalli, umumnya disebut Tiruchi atau Trichy (bahasa Tamil: திருச்சி) sebelumnya juga dilafalkan Trichinopoly (di bawah kekuasaan Britania) adalah kota terbesar ke-4 di negara bagian Tamil Nadu di India (setelah Chennai, Coimbatore dan Madurai). Kota ini terletak di tengah negara bagian di tepi sungai Cauvery.

Sejarah

Tiruchirappalli dipimpin oleh Jenderal Maratha Murari Rao sejak 1741 hingga 1743, ketika diambil alih oleh Nizam dari Hyderabad setelah Pengepungan Trichinopoly (1743).^[1]^[2]
