Pertempuran Chotusitz
Pertempuran Chotusitz atau Chotusice, kadang-kadang disebut Pertempuran Czaslau, adalah pertempuran yang berlangsung pada 17 Mei 1742 di Bohemia antara Austria yang dipimpin oleh Pangeran Karl Alexander dari Lorraine melawan Prusia di bawah pimpinan Friedrich yang Agung. Pertempuran ini merupakan bagian dari Perang Penerus Austria, yanag kadang-kadang disebut Perang Silesia Pertama. Jumlah tentara Austria adalah 30.000, sementara Prusia memiliki sekitar 28.000; Prusia memiliki lebih banyak infantri, sementara Austria memiliki lebih banyak kavaleri.[10] Tentara Austria mencoba merebut kembali Praha yang ditelah diduduki oleh Prusia, dan Prusia mencoba mencegah hal tersebut. Pertempuran ini penting karena merupakan satu-satunya pertempuran besar yang dimulai oleh Austria dalam perang ini.[11]
