Métro de Paris Jalur 2 merupakan jalur metro kedua yang dibangun di Paris, Prancis. Jalur ini dikenal pada tahun pertamanya sebagai jalur "2 Nord" (2 Utara) karena jalur ini mencakup bagian utara jalur metro sirkuler. Nama itu kemudian dicabut setelah jalur 5 mendapat nama "2 Sud" (2 Selatan) pada 1907.

Sejak 20 Desember 2006, sebuah kereta api MF 200 beroperasi di jalur ini. Kereta lainnya dengan seri yang sama akan diperkenalkan pada 2007 dan menggantikan kereta MF 67.

Sejarah

13 Desember 1900: Bagian pertama jalur "2 Nord" dibuka antara Porte Dauphine dan Étoile.
7 Oktober 1902: Jalur tersebut diperpanjang dari Étoile hingga Anvers.
31 Januari 1903: Perpanjangan dilakukan lagi dari Anvers hingga Bagnolet.
2 April 1903: Perpanjangan lainnya dari Bagnolet hingga Nation.
10 Agustus 1903: Sebuah hubungan pendek pada sebuah kereta menyebabkan kebakaran hebat yang menewaskan 84 orang di stasiun Couronnes dan Ménilmontant.
14 Oktober 1907: Jalur "2 Nord" diubah namanya menjadi jalur 2.

Perubahan nama stasiun

15 Oktober 1907: Boulevard Barbés diganti menjadi Barbés - Rochechouart.
1 Agustus 1914: Rue d'Allemagne diganti menjadi Jaurès.
6 Oktober 1942: Aubervilliers diganti menjadi Aubervilliers - Boulevard de la Villette.
19 Agustus 1945: Combat diganti menjadi Colonel Fabien.
10 Februari 1946: Aubervilliers - Boulevard de la Villette diganti menjadi Stalingrad.
1970: Étoile diganti menjadi Charles de Gaulle - Étoile.
13 September 1970: Bagnolet diganti menjadi Alexandre Dumas.

Pariwisata

Stasiun Aerial antara Barbés - Rochechouart dan Jaurès dibangun pada sebuah jembatan yang menawarkan pemandangan kota Paris.
