Vin Diesel
Mark Sinclair (lahir 18 Juli 1967), atau yang lebih dikenal dengan nama Vin Diesel, adalah seorang aktor dan produser film asal Amerika. Ia terkenal sebagai salah satu aktor dengan pendapatan tertinggi di dunia dan dikenal atas perannya sebagai Dominic Toretto dalam waralaba Fast & Furious.

Diesel memulai karirnya pada tahun 1990 namun mengalami kesulitan untuk mendapatkan pengakuan hingga ia menulis, menyutradarai, dan membintangi film pendek berjudul Multi-Facial (1995), serta debut film fiturnya yang berjudul Strays (1997). Karya-karya tersebut membuat Steven Spielberg tertarik untuk memilih Diesel sebagai peran penting dalam film perang Saving Private Ryan (1998). Diesel juga menjadi pengisi suara untuk karakter utama dalam film The Iron Giant (1999). . Setelah itu, ia mulai dikenal sebagai bintang aksi setelah membintangi waralaba Fast & Furious, XXX, dan The Chronicles of Riddick.
Diesel juga mengisi suara untuk karakter Groot I dan Groot II dalam Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Ia memerankan karakter tersebut dalam enam film superhero, dimulai dari Guardians of the Galaxy (2014). Selain itu, Diesel kembali memerankan Groot dalam seri animasi Disney+ berjudul I Am Groot (2022–sekarang), acara televisi The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special (2022), dan film animasi Ralph Breaks the Internet (2018). Selain kesuksesannya dalam film aksi, Diesel juga meraih kesuksesan komersial dalam film komedi The Pacifier (2005), dan mendapat pujian atas penampilannya sebagai Jackie DiNorscio dalam film Find Me Guilty (2006).
Selama kariernya, Diesel mendirikan perusahaan produksi bernama One Race Films, di mana ia juga berperan sebagai produser atau produser eksekutif untuk film-film yang ia bintangi. Selain itu, ia juga mendirikan label rekaman Racetrack Records dan menjadi pengembang permainan video melalui Tigon Studios. Kehidupan awal
Diesel lahir Mark Sinclair[1] pada tanggal 18 Juli 1967,[2] di dalam Alameda County, California,[3] tempat ibunya juga lahir, meski kemudian pindah New York City dengan saudara kembarnya, Paul.[4][5] Ibunya, Delora Sherleen Vincent (née Sinclair), adalah astrologi.[6] Dia dibesarkan oleh ibu kulit putih dan ayah angkat Afrika-Amerika, Irving H. Vincent, seorang instruktur akting dan manajer teater.[5][7][8] Diesel telah menyatakan bahwa dia "etnis yang ambigu."[9] Ibunya memiliki akar bahasa Inggris, Jerman, dan Skotlandia.[10] Dia belum pernah bertemu ayah kandungnya, dan mengatakan itu "yang saya tahu dari ibu saya adalah bahwa saya memiliki koneksi ke banyak budaya yang berbeda";[11] Diesel percaya bahwa hubungan orang tuanya akan menjadi ilegal di beberapa bagian Amerika Serikat karena anti-miscegenation laws.[12]

Drama itu diproduksi di Theater for the New City di New York's Greenwich Village. Sinclair mulai menggunakan nama panggungnya "Vin Diesel" selama bekerja sebagai bouncer di the New York nightclub Tunnel, menginginkan nama yang terdengar lebih keras untuk pekerjaannya. Vin berasal dari nama belakang ibunya yang sudah menikah, Vincent, sedangkan nama belakang Diesel berasal dari teman-temannya karena kecenderungannya untuk energik.[17]
