Aram-aram (Aporosa) adalah genus tumbuhan berbunga yang termasuk dalam famili Phyllanthaceae, pertama kali dideskripsikan sebagai genus pada tahun 1825. [4] Ia berasal dari China, anak benua India, Asia Tenggara, Papuasia, dan Queensland . [5] [6] [7] [8]

Tumbuhan ini sebagian besar berupa pohon dioecious atau perdu. [9] Empat spesies ( A. hermaphrodita, A. heterodoxa, A. brevicaudata, dan A. egreria ) secara konsisten memiliki bunga biseksual, meskipun secara fungsional mereka mungkin dioecious. [10] Bijinya mempunyai arils berwarna cerah yang menarik bagi burung, yang menyebarkan bijinya. [11]
