Maulawi Mohammed Abdul Kabir adalah anggota senior kepemimpinan Taliban[1] dan pelaksana tugas wakil perdana menteri ketiga, bersama Abdul Ghani Baradar dan Abdul Salam Hanafi, dari Afganistan sejak 4 Oktober 2021.[2][3] Dia sebelumnya adalah pelaksana tugas Perdana Menteri Afganistan dari 16 April 2001 hingga 13 November 2001.[4][5][6]

Baradar’s arrest was followed by the capture of the Taliban’s shadow governors for Afghanistan’s Kunduz and Baghlan provinces—Mullah Abdul Salam and Mullah Mir Muhammad—in addition to former Taliban acting Prime Minister Maulawi Kabir and former Zabul Province shadow governor and head of “the commission” Maulawi Muhammad Yunos.
