Logos (Kekristenan)

Dalam Kristologi, Logos (bahasa Yunani: Λόγος logos, yang artinya "firman", "amanat" atau "alasan") adalah sebuah nama atau gelar dari Yesus Kristus, yang dipandang sebagai pra-keberadaan Sosok Kedua Allah menurut doktrin Tritunggal. Sebutan tersebut berpengaruh pada munculnya pendirian doktrin divinitas dan moralitas Yesus Kristus dan posisi-Nya sebagai Allah Putera dalam Tritunggal menurut teolog-teolog Trinitarian seperti yang tercantum dalam kredo Kalsedonia.

Konsep tersebut berasal dari pembukaan Injil Yohanes, yang sering diterjemahkan menjadi: "Pada mulanya adalah Firman; Firman itu bersama-sama dengan Allah dan Firman itu adalah Allah." Dalam terjemahan tersebut, "firman" digunakan untuk menyebut kata logos (λόγος), tetapi dalam amanat teologi, kata tersebut sering dibiarkan dalam keadaan tak diterjemahkan.
