Ariesa Pandanwangi
Ariesa Pandanwangi is a lecturer, a researcher and an artist. She teaches Visual Language, Research Methodology and Seminar, History of Fine Arts and Design, History of Asia Fine Art, and Drawing. She is interested in observing pictures and cultural artifacts. The focus of her research is visual language which is funded by grant from the government. Her research also produced grant results from the government.
Dr. Pandanwangi was awarded as the best lecturer at Faculty of Art and Design three times.
Besides teaching, one of her activities is establishing community to make a synergy of the creativity for women in Indonesia, as the founder of “Komunitas 22 Ibu”, and she is actively contribute in Art Exhibition. Her other activities are batik workshops with cold wax, an empowerment of women in various areas in Indonesia to increase their life skills. She is an activist in social service and a member of Lions Club at District 307B2 in Bandung-West Jav, and currently she is trusted by Lions Club International to become Guiding Lions until 2020.
Despite her full schedule at work at the university, she can manage to spare a good time hang out with family and friends as unforgettable moments. Her motto is “Fun, relax, enjoy and always grateful.”.
