Articles I created

Articles I significantly expanded

N.B. By "significantly", I refer to an arbitrary threshold of being one of the top 3 authors of an article, according to Xtools' authorship statistic, and this being amounting to at least 10% of the corpus of characters in said article. Apparently, these parameters are temporal

Wiktionary

I'm interested in improving the project's coverage of pronunciation, especially in the form of phonetic notations. I believe that such phonetic alphabet is way more easily manipulated and studied, inasmuch as it should be included in compulsory education, along with the good old writing alphabet. Being myself a learner of the American accent, I mainly use Merriam-Webster dictionary as a reference for English pronunciations, since it provides a complete pronunciation coverage of its content, though in a different notation than IPA, the one I use in Wiktionary. I also use Lexico on some occasions, for entries lacking in MW or to cite Received Pronunciation.

Quotes

The pessimist complains about the wind; the optimist expects it to change; the realist adjusts the sails.

لَسْتُ بالخِبِّ وَلا الخِبُّ يَخْدَعُني

لَو كُنتَ تَعلَم ما أقولُ عذرتني *** أو كنت تعلم ما تقول عذلتكَ
لكن جهلت مقالتي فعذلتني *** وعلمت أنك جاهل فعذرتكَ

Had I the heaven's embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half-light;
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.

— William Butler Yeats, The Cloths of Heaven
