About me
I am an citizen of Trinidad and Tobago who is resident in the United States. I am a plant ecologist by training, and did my doctoral work on Puerto Rican dry forest.
I was a candidate for the Movement Charter Drafting Committee. You can see my candidate statement here.
My work
I've been a volunteer editor since 2004, an admin on the English Wikipedia since 2005, staff at Wiki Education since 2014, and part of the leadership team Wikimedians of the Caribbean since the group's foundation in 2018.
I coauthored a chapter in Wikipedia @ 20: Stories of an Incomplete Revolution with LiAnna Davis entitled Equity, Policy, and Newcomers: Five Journeys from Wiki Education and authored a chapter, "Decolonizing Wikipedia", in Using Open Educational Resources to Promote Social Justice.
