Perang agama atau perang suci (Latin: bellum sacrum) adalah sebuah perang yang utamanya disebabkan atau dibenarkan oleh perbedaan dalam agama. Pada zaman modern, debat umum atas keberadaan dimana aspek agama, ekonomi, atau etnis dari sebuah konflik merupakan hal umum dalam sebuah perang yang dijabarkan. Menurut Encyclopedia of Wars, dari 1,763 konflik sejarah yang diketahui/dicatat, 123 perang, atau 6.98%, menjadikan agama sebagai sebab utamanya, dan 66 perang diantaranya, atau 53.66%, berkaitan dengan Islam.[1]The Great Big Book of Horrible Things karya Matthew White menjadikan agama sebagai sebab ke-13 dari 100 kejahatan mematikan di dunia.[2]
